The project included a renovated and restored Joseph Esherick-designed home and Lawrence Halprin-designed garden. The garden was preserved and expanded to create usable spaces for the client’s family. Their goal was to restore the garden to its original glory and to make it usable for their family. The garden now has a stronger relationship to the interior of the home, better reinforcing the idea of indoor / outdoor living.
