Adjacent to a family home in Marin County, this small garden renovation incorporates rhododendron, azaleas, camellias, dogwoods and a gigantic redwood planted in the 1920s. Our design incorporated a new swimming pool, walkways, terraces and entry portal and specialty garden beds. Gateways between each garden ’room’ were marked by a pair of lanterns, columnar evergreens, steps or a formal gateway. The building materials are brick and buff colored sandstone. Along the residence a new raised deck with a partial arbor supports a historic wisteria vine.
